Scope and Contents

This small collection consists primarily of mounted (on 16 x 20" boards) photographs of late 19th and early 20th century American authors, literary scholars, and persons of note, including Walt Whitman, Julia Ward Howe, Louise Chandler Moulton, Joaquin Miller, Lyman Abbott, George Wharton James, and William Jennings Bryan, to name a few.

Abstract This small collection of sheet music consists of music published between 1872 and 1940 (with the bulk published 1900s-1930s). The bulk of the music consists of lyrics written by significant American writers, including Booth Tarkington, Ring Lardner, Amy Lowell, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Bill Nye, O.
